Hello! Since you've come here, you're obviously interested in knowing more about me. My name is Abbas. About three years ago, I moved to Miami, the land of the Dolphins football team.

I got interested in NFL Football in 1994. I was on holiday in Miami, and was present at Pro Player Stadium in the Dolphins game versus the Lions on the 25th of December - A game in which two greats, QB Dan Marino and Lions RB Barry Sanders played. Fortunately enough, the Dolphins won that game, and since the SuperBowl that year (SuperBowl XXIX) was in Miami, my interest in the game increased.

Back in Asia, the only sources of NFL information I had were around 15 minutes of it on CNN International, and also the U.A.E. based newspaper Khaleej Times. Since the popularity of the Internet, things changed dramatically for me as a football fan. Having access to the latest news, updates, scores, and being able to spread it through my website was unbelievable.

I was deeply saddened by the divisions that Jimmy Johnson created among us, the Dolphins fans, and was glad to see him leave. Dave Wannstedt forced Marino to retire, but the thing I find disturbing is his commitment to Jay Fiedler as the starting quarterback. By the way, Dan Marino, THE greatest passer EVER in the league, is still my favorite football player, even though he retired. And to those Dolfans who said he was 'great' and cursed him through the 1998-1999 seasons: well, I feel sorry for you people. Take it easy, and get a life.

On a personal note, my hobbies include programming, drawing and listening to music (my favorite genres are jazz and Indian classical). I am currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science at the Florida International University. Some of the programming languages I know are Java, C, C++, Assembly language (Intel-based), HTML, and Javascript. The themes of my drawings include religion and nature, and I've also done a series of drawings on 'The Mughal Empire'.

Another favorite sport of mine is cricket, and I love playing cricket with people who understand the game :) I'd love to hear from you, the people who make mine running the website worthwhile. You can always email me at [email protected], or, as a most welcome alternative, you can sign my guestbook. Thanks and Gooooooo Dolphins!!!!!

-Abbas
